Question:

We use PitStop Professional to preflight our documents. The only problem we see with PDF Profile is that you have to choose between reporting the issue as warning or as error. We check the image resolution of grayscale and color images and would like PitStop Professional to error the file when the resolution is below 250 dpi. We also want to generate a warning when the resolution is between 250 and 300 dpi. I don't seem to find a solution. Please help.

Question:

I'm a publisher receiving loads of ads from different agencies. Most of them are keeping the strict deadlines, but it happens that the PDF to publish misses only one or two ads.
Of course, I can go back to the original document to generate a new PDF. But I basically don't have time for this. Is there a way to perform the same action but then in the existing PDF? This would save me trouble on several occasions.

Question:

"I receive PDF files that basically consist out of black text and colored images. When I check on CMYK color space and automatically correct this by converting any non-CMYK elements to CMYK, my text turns out as impure CMYK black (97%-100% on all four process colors). When I check the original black text I find out that it's RGB. Why does this happen and what can I do to overcome this? I want to end up with 100% K text"
