Connect 2017 adds support for Enfocus Switch and Pitstop 2017, and provides essential new enhancements
Available today, Enfocus releases an upgrade to the Connect product family with support for Switch 2017 and Pitstop 2017. Connect helps creative and print professionals create print ready PDF files and delivers them, with job ticket specifications, in an easy to use way from most applications to internal or remote locations.
Fully compatible with Switch and PitStop 2017
Connect 2017 now supports the REST API that was introduced with Switch 2017, enabling the Switch Browser Portal and Connectors to submit jobs to Switch simultaneously. Using Connectors, job files and job ticket metadata can be directly submitted into Switch from external and internal users without the need to navigate to a URL or log-on.
Connect 2017 also includes the latest PitStop 2017 preflight engine, enabling customers to leverage the latest PitStop 2017 features, such as the PDF Geomapper technology that checks and removes unnecessary objects on a page or whole document. Also PitStop Pro or PitStop Server 2017 created Preflight Profiles and Action Lists are now supported by Connect 2017.
Other enhancements improve the basic job ticketing and update server functions, such as the ability to update a Connector that was already expired.
Check job essentials
A new standard workflow project called “Check job essentials” is added to both Connect YOU and Connect ALL. This new project is designed to help prepress professionals, customer service and sales representatives to quickly check incoming jobs against the customer specifications.
