What is MultiPress Connect?

The MultiPress integration with Enfocus allows you to avoid repetitive tasks and automate print production without complicating your workflow needlessly.

  • Obtain all kinds of information from a MultiPress module such as Contact, Calculation, Job, Stock, Workflow and Invoice
  • Fully automate processes in MultiPress. 

Thanks to webhooks (Notifications), we can inform Switch about changes in MultiPress using our API. These changes include new or existing contact information, a calculation or job status, a newly uploaded file or altered delivery status. The obtained information will be automatically converted to metadata in Switch, after which it is used in the next step to launch a specific action in MultiPress. Thus Switch can launch a specific automation process thanks to these webhooks without any human intervention.

MultiPress Connect in Practice

Take an automated prepress flow, for example.

The customer validates an offer online and uploads their file. Based on the technical information of the job, the specific preflighting profile will automatically be selected that is suitable for that type of job. 

After this, the Callas PDFToolBox engine in MultiPress is activated. The variables defined in the PDFToolBox profile are automatically added using the technical information. All information available in MultiPress can be used to automatically fill these variables. This information could be, among others, the device, substrate, type of finishing and material. 

After successfully processing the file, the job status will automatically update in MultiPress, and the customer receives a confirmation of the new digital proof. When the customer validates the proof, MultiPress will automatically inform Switch and the file is prepared for production using the PDFToolBox in MultiPress.

Other processes can be automated as well: stock management, follow-up of offers, requested files or proofing validation and the synchronisation of contact data with third-party applications. The sky is the limit: everything depends on the level of automation you want!

This app was really helpfull. We automated our first clientflows without it, and it took almost a year. We started over with this app and were done in a few months. Yes, sometimes there are bugs, but there is a new version every few weeks.
