Smash is a file transfer tool that excels in speed and simplicity of use. More information can be found here: https://api.fromsmash.com
This app bundle makes the integration between Switch and Smash extremely easy by offering a Smash Upload and a Smash Download app.
In Smash Upload you can define all the settings for sending files, like the number of days a file is available for download, if a password should be used for downloading, etc. The link to the uploaded files is also available as private data so it can be used in other ways, e.g. insert it into a database, pass it to the MIS system via a REST API call, etc. The app offers an additional layer of security by allowing the use of a random password that can be communicated to the receiver via an alternative channel.
When somebody sends you a Smash you can let Switch monitor the mailbox and Smash Download will download the file(s) automatically saving the time and boring effort to click on the link, download the file(s) and place them into a Switch flow.
The Enfocus app works fine. Nice work! However, Smash could offer more in their API. More functions and examples. It would be really helpful if they would add the capability to add custom (tag:value) fields in the submission dialog... and expose that functionality to the API.
Then, we could pass values back to Switch as metadata, like a Submit Point.
I would also like to see an easy feedback mechanism on api.fromsmash.com, for these type of suggestions.
