How they use PitStop Library Container for client education.
Panda Game Manufacturing turns other people's ideas into physical board games. Designers and publishers bring the concept, Panda prints the thing you unbox on a Friday night with your friends.
It is a small industry where everyone knows everyone, and that shapes how Panda works. Teaching clients matters as much as printing their jobs.
A lot of Panda's mission is to make the hobby better. We're a very small industry where everyone knows everyone. So the fact that we can teach clients, teach people that are staying in the hobby, is a big part of our ethos.

The rule: never touch the client's file
Most manufacturers fix problem files quietly and move on. Panda made the opposite choice, on purpose.
We don't change the files. We explain, we teach, we tell our clients how to make their files better.
Daniel Triano, Senior Software Engineer at Panda Game Manufacturing
There is a commercial reason behind the principle. If Panda silently repairs a file and the client later prints the same job somewhere else, the output changes and nobody knows why.
The worst case scenario for us is someone gives us files, we print them, and then for whatever reason they decide not to print with us again and they get a different output. We don't ever want them to come back to us and say 'hey, you did something to our files and you didn't tell us.'
Daniel Triano, Senior Software Engineer at Panda Game Manufacturing
Honest, but it used to slow everything down. Every explanation used to mean a person writing an email, a client downloading a file, fixing it, and uploading it again.
Preflight built straight into Panda's own upload flow
When Daniel joined, he saw how much of that back and forth could run on its own. Panda now uses Enfocus technology in two places.
The prepress team runs deep, hands-on file checks alongside their Adobe tools. And for everything arriving through the client upload flow, Panda built an ‘automated checker’ on PitStop Library Container, with PitStop preflight hosted in the cloud and integrated directly into their own web system.
The flow is simple. A client uploads a file. It runs against Panda's Preflight Profile. Seconds later, depending on file size, the client sees exactly what is wrong.
Then Panda adds the part that only Panda can add. Every issue the Preflight Profile reports is mapped inside their own system, to plain language and a concrete fix.
It lets them fix the file themselves right away. We map the solution in our system: here's what's wrong and here's an easy solution, just go do this, go flatten it, or whatever.
Daniel Triano, Senior Software Engineer at Panda Game Manufacturing
The container reports. It never edits. That is the whole point.
That's why the container changes nothing, that's why we only return information and don't actually edit anything.
Daniel Triano, Senior Software Engineer at Panda Game Manufacturing
More than half the files fixed themselves
In 2025, Panda ran roughly 37,000 files through the ‘automated checker’. Around 20,000 of those came back with problems, and the client deleted the file and uploaded a corrected one without anyone at Panda stepping in.
That's pretty substantial for us, to not have to step in and help every time.
Daniel Triano, Senior Software Engineer at Panda Game Manufacturing
The system has been running for close to three years. It also gives Panda something they never had before: numbers. Daniel pulls quarterly results, and every issue is logged by type and by client.
I know how many issues the files contained, how many of this type, how many of that type, and which clients may or may not have more of each type of issue.
Daniel Triano, Senior Software Engineer at Panda Game Manufacturing
For the prepress team, that turns a hunch into a fact, and it clears the boring work off their desks.
At least the prepress team is very happy that they don't have to do the very simple tasks. They get to do the more fun stuff.
